Denver home sales weren’t cold in December
Denver homes turned over at the fastest pace in the country last month. Listings took an average of 36 days to sell in December, which tied with Omaha out of 53 metro areas examined in the report. More demand than supply, especially for homes priced under $400,000, means the listings that do show up can get snapped up quickly along the northern Front Range.

Mortgage Rates Lower for Third Consecutive Week
Average mortgage rates moved lower for the third consecutive week, according to the latest survey by Freddie Mac. For the week ending Jan. 19, the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage (FRM) averaged 4.09% with an average 0.5 point, down from last week when it averaged 4.12%. A year ago at this time, the 30-year FRM averaged 3.81 percent.
